KID CONNECTION

Each Sunday morning our children’s ministry uses a comprehensive curriculum entitled FaithWeaver.  Whether the children are in Kid’s Worship, Sunday School, or loving childcare they will be growing their knowledge of God and God’s love for them, and for all the world.  The Bible will come to life for God’s young children each Sunday.

  • Infants to 18 months receive loving childcare and experience God’s story through age appropriate learning, music, and stimulation each Sunday from 9:00 to 11:30 AM These little ones meet in the Learning Center (right hallway).   Coordinator: Jackie Bukowski.
  • Toddlers 18 months to 36 months meet each week from 9:00 to 11:30 AM in the Learning Center (right hallway).  Loving teachers encourage the children to explore and learn with developmentally appropriate activities.  A special story time sharing God’s love in a caring and unique way is the highlight!  Coordinator: Jackie Bukowski.

3’s, 4’s, and young 5 yr olds meet each week from 9:00  to 11:30 AM in the Learning Center.  Loving leaders share play time and learning experiences that build faith and help increase the child’s knowledge of and love for God.  Stories, music, games, and life lessons are all apart of each Sunday. Coordinators: Janie Rodriguez and Miriam Moreno

·       Kindergarten through 2nd grades (9:00 – 11:30 AM)

From 9:00 – 10:00 AM Kid’s Worship happens in the Learning Center.  Stories, Music, Prayer, and Faith Building take place as the children worship together in an age appropriate, creative setting each Sunday.  A team of adults rotate leadership weekly.

Study Groups during the Week

Week Night  Home Bible Study

As a compliment to the Sunday study groups on North Central's campus, we offer a chapter-by-chapter Bible Study in the home of Tom and Berniece Reed on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.

This study offers participants the opportunity to discuss the scriptures in a relaxed setting and obtain the benefit of each individual's insight and experience, led by Tom, an elder in the church. Additionally we use the understanding of the text provided by a study guide written by biblical scholars. Participants are welcome to read the background material and answer some of the questions in the study guide prior to attending, but that is not required to be part of the discussion.

Another benefit of this study group is the opportunity to develop and grow friendships with others from the church in a small group setting. Snacks before and after the study time help facilitate the fellowship aspect.

At the conclusion of each study time, we share prayer requests that Berniece then emails out to the attendees for use during the week.

Currently the group is studying the Gospel of Matthew and using a study guide published by NavPress. Whether you're just starting on your spiritual journey or are far down the road, you'll find something worthwhile in the study and feel welcomed by the participants.

For more information, call Tom or Berniece Reed at 830-980-3967.

Women’s Bible Study

Thursday is Women’s study day for North Central Christian Church.  Each week during the fall season women will gather for fellowship, spiritual growth, and the opportunity to reach out together and make a difference around the church, the community, and the world.  The fall study topic will be an intriguing new book by author and biblical scholar, Carolyn Custis James.  The book, The Gospel of Ruth, is about courage, equality, and partnership in spreading the Gospel message of love and hope to a world that is hungry to see.  The study will begin on September 11, 2008 and continue through the first Thursday of December, 2008.  But you are welcome to come to any of the group gatherings on any Thursday.  New friends are always welcome!
